Pokémon franchise. However, this particular entry is significantly different than many of the games that preceded it. The game is set in Hisui, an ancient region of the franchise's setting that is also, uniquely, an open world.

As one would expect, such an open world also comes with its own bevy of side content and quests, known as Requests.  Requests vary wildly in of difficulty and objectives, meaning that their quality also falls across a vast range. However, there are some that stand above the rest.

Aim For The Big Leagues!

'Aim For The Big Leagues!' sees players participate in one of Pokémon Legends: Arceusmini-games, a departure from other games in the franchise. In this particular case, the players throw Pokéballs at targets, in order to beat an issued score.

While this request is ultimately simple, it also helps to give a fun break for players between more difficult quests, as well as a change of pace from the more fetch-based features of many requests.

Measuring Your Compatibility

'Measuring Your Compatibility' is a request given to players by Belamy, a villager who tells the player that they remind him of his grandmother. As such, he wants to see if the protagonist can become friends with Pokémon as well as she could.

In order to complete this request, the player needs to show Belamy a Pokémon with high friendship. In fact, this request has importance later on, as players can check their friendship with any Pokémon once the request is complete.

A Bit Of Help From Blissey

'A Bit Of Help From Blissey' is a request involving the Supply Corps member Pippa, who has been separated from a Blissey she felt connected to by an angry Abomasnow.

Not only does this quest help to show the personalities of various Pokémon and characters in greater depth, but its rewards are nothing to scoff at. The request will gift players with a Shiny Stone and two Max Revives, which can prove massively useful on their journey.

Balloon Race In The Fieldlands

Not only does this request allow players to take a break from capturing and researching Pokémon, but it also acts as an introduction for related requests later in the game. It's one of the most useful and entertaining side quests in Arceus.

The Diamond Clan's Treasure

Characters in Pokemon Legends Arceus

"The Diamond Clan's Treasure' is one of a number of post-game requests that take place after the completion of the main story. To complete it, players must face Adaman of the Diamond Clan in battle, and his team, consisting of Vaporeon, Leafeon, and Umbreon.

While this fight can prove difficult, the reward is well worth it. Players will win three comet shards as well as the Adamant Crystal. This will allow the legendary Pokémon Dialga to return to its Origin Form, a new ability for it in this game.

On The Trail Of Giratina

After defeating Volo in the Temple Of Sinnoh, players can take on this dangerous request. Players will be told by Professor Laventon that a shadow has absorbed the Cobalt Coastlands. Heading to the Spring Path will allow players to encounter the incredibly powerful Dragon-type Pokémon Origin Form Giratina, and attempt to catch it.

For their trouble, players will not only receive the Griseous Core to change Giratina's form, but the Grit Rock as well, which can increase a player's Effort Level.

The Sea's Legend

Where to Find & Catch Manaphy in Pokémon Legends Arceus Manaphy Encounter

'The Sea's Legend' is a request that features not one, but two different Mythical Pokémon. If players travel to the Seaside Hollow after catching a Qwilfish, the player can challenge both Manaphy and three Phione.

Not only is Manaphy a powerful Pokémon in its own right, but players will also be able to find a rare comet shard as well, making this side quest well worth the time and effort for any Arceus players.

Incarnate Forces Of Hisui

Enamorus in Pokemon Legends Arceus

"Incarnate Forces Of Hisui' is a multi-part quest, given by Cogita in Galaxy HQ. This request sees the player tracking three legendary Pokémon said to hold the power of nature.

Not only does this quest have the players tracking across Hisui to find their targets, but the powerful trio of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus will be well worth it. In fact, a fourth member of this group, Enamorus, becomes available to capture after the first three are defeated or caught.

Rolling With Spheal

Gameplay in Pokemon Legends Arceus

'Rolling With Spheal' is a request given to the player by the villager Senki, whose Spheal has gone missing, and who tasks the player with finding it. In order to find it, the player has to actively chase the spherical Pokémon as it rolls away, choosing to evade or engage in fights along the way.

Not only does this request give a Rare Candy to players, but it allows for various methods for completing it, making it a must-play side quest for any gamers.

Snow-White Vulpix In The Snow

Gameplay from Pokemon Legends Arceus

'Snow-White Vulpix In The Snow" has players find a particular variant of Vulpix at the request of a security officer named Keaka. Keaka is from Alola, a region of the Pokémon world inspired by Hawaii, so it comes as no surprise that the Vulpix he searches for is the Ice-type variant of Vulpix.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon were the first games in the series to introduce regional variants, a tradition that has continued through the releases since, including Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Hisuian forms. As such, this request helps to contextualize what has become a fan-favorite feature.
