steady cycle of events over the last few months, providing players with a regular and predictable cadence of what they can do in the game. Several of these events reward emblems for reaching certain milestones in versus battles, showcasing a player's skill at defeating others in the game.
Today, March 6, Pokémon TCG Pocket launched its latest Emblem Event. The Triumphant Light SP Emblem event tasks players with winning five consecutive times against other opponents. Players can earn up to four emblems by scoring consecutive wins, along with several other mission rewards. Over on Reddit, some players were less than thrilled with the return of the event. "I will shamelessly copy whatever counters the most optimal deck to get the medals," wrote Uzi_Doormat, when discussing strategy for the event.
What Rewards You Can Get By Completing The Triumphant Light SP Emblem Event
Rewards Include Emblems & Pack Hourglasses
The main draw of the event is the new set of gold emblems, which are rewarded as players rack up consecutive wins. A total of four emblems are available, with players earning their first emblem at two wins and earning their last emblem upon hitting five consecutive wins. Players can also earn up to 24 Pack Hourglasses by participating in the event, as well as Shinedust for winning battles (with no win streak contingency involved).

Our Take: Emblem Events Are Here To Stay
Emblem Events Provide A Common Experience, Even If They Can Be Miserable
While many players aren't fans of the Emblem events, I feel they do have an important role within Pokémon TCG Pocket. Not only do they provide players with a challenge, they also create an important bonding experience among players. Ultimately, the SP Emblem event comes down to luck, as some players can coast through the event with a series of easy match-ups and concessions and others struggle against superior decks. These common experiences make Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket more fun and flesh out the game a bit more.
