Pokémon TCG Pocket has launched a new event ahead of this week's major set release. This week will mark the release of Celestial Guardians, a new set for Pokémon TCG Pocket. The new set will feature Pokémon from Pokémon Sun and Moon and will also introduce the powerful Rare Candy card to the game. Ahead of the new set's release, Pokémon TCG Pocket has also started a new Mass Outbreak event, which will focus on Fighting-type Pokémon.

The new Fighting-type Mass Outbreak event will offer players a chance to collect Lucario ex from special Wonder Pick selections, along with a pool of other Fighting-type Pokémon. Per Serebii, other featured Pokémon cards include Lucario (a useful option in most Fighting-type decks) and Machamp. Also available are a selection of new missions that offer a total of 12 Wonder Hourglasses and Shop Tickets as a reward. The event will run for one week, with an end date of May 4th.

Mass Outbreak Will Include Powerful Fighting-Type Pokemon Like Lucario Ex

The new event is currently live on the Pokémon TCG Pocket app, with players able to access it via the Wonder Pick menu. The Wonder Picks will come with Mass Outbreak selections (which cost Wonder Stamina to pick) and free Bonus Picks. The pool for the standard Mass Outbreak Wonder Picks are as follows:

• Lucario ex
• Stonjourner
• Regirock
• Sudowoodo
• Flamigo
• Machamp

Additionally, the following Pokémon cards will appear in Bonus Picks, which are free to select:

• Machop
• Flamigo
• Sudowoodo
• Regirock
• Stonjourner
• Machoke
• Hitmonlee
• Hitmonchan
• Riolu
• Hitmontop

Players can also receive both Pack Hourglasses and Wonder Hourglasses as options in the Bonus Picks, along with Shop Tickets.

Celestial Guardians Will Overshadow This Event

Under normal circumstances, a Mass Outbreak event in Pokémon TCG Pocket is a fun distraction. However, this particular event falls on the wrong week, as players will honestly have bigger priorities than wasting Wonder Stamina on the Mass Outbreak event, since Celestial Guardians is coming out this week.

Players will almost certainly be scrambling to collect new cards, like the powerful Rare Candy card, which will make this Mass Outbreak event fall to the wayside starting on Wednesday. Still, fans can enjoy the one day of collecting Fighting-type Pokémon cards before Pokémon TCG Pocket launches Celestial Guardians later this week.
