Fusion has finally arrived in Pokémon GO, letting Trainers add Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma to their collection. The act of fusion requires a lot of resources, including the newly added Fusion Energy, so you might be left wondering which one you should go for first. While they're both excellent Pokémon, one of them is looking slightly more useful.

The biggest feature of Pokémon GO Fest 2024 is the worldwide debut of the Legendary creature Necrozma. But that's not all, as you'll also be able to fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala to get an even more powerful variant. They're both expected to be top PvP performers in the Master League, and they'll also be PvE game-changers as Raid attackers.

Both Necrozma fusions will be incredible additions to your collection, but if you only have enough time and resources to get one of them, go for Dusk Mane Necrozma. This fearsome Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon is expected to be the number one Steel-type attacker in the game, making it the best option for taking on Fairy, Ice, and Rock-type Raid Bosses in the future.

Dusk Mane Necrozma will also be a great fighter to take into the Master League. It has a massive Attack stat and resistance to Dragon, Fairy, Flying, Grass, Ice, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, and Steel-type attacks, so it's not hard to see why it's going to become a major threat in the meta. Unfortunately, it does have some common weaknesses in Dark, Fire, Ghost, and Ground.

When you fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala, the resulting fused Pokémon will keep Necrozma's characteristics including IVs and shiny status.

That's not to say that Dawn Wings Necrozma is a bad investment. This spooky Ghost/Psychic-type Pokémon is going to be one of the top Ghost-type attackers for Raid Battles - although it shares this position with Mega Gengar - and it actually places slightly higher than Dusk Mane Necrozma in PvPoke's Master League rankings. This is likely due to better coverage and its devastating exclusive Charged Move Moongeist Beam.

Dusk Mane Necrozma is a Psychic/Steel-type Pokémon that has access to the exclusive Steel-type Charged Move Sunsteel Strike. It's best used as a Steel-type attacker in Raid Battles with the moveset Metal Claw and Sunsteel Strike.

Dusk Mane Necrozma can be obtained by fusing Necrozma with Solgaleo on Necrozma's information page. You'll need 1,000 Solar Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candy, and 30 Cosmog Candy to complete this process. Solar Fusion Energy can be obtained by defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma in Raid Battles or by completing certain Special Research quests.

Dawn Wings Necrozma is a Ghost/Psychic-type Pokémon that has access to the exclusive Ghost-type Charged Move Moongeist Beam. It's best used as a Ghost-type attacker in Raid Battles with the moveset Shadow Claw and Moongeist Beam.

Dawn Wings Necrozma can be obtained by fusing Necrozma with Lunala on Necrozma's information page. You'll need 1,000 Lunar Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candy, and 30 Cosmog Candy to complete this process. Lunar Fusion Energy can be obtained by defeating Dawn Wings Necrozma in Raid Battles or by completing certain Special Research quests.

Both of Necrozma's fusions are must-have additions to any Trainers team in Pokémon GO, so in an ideal world you'd be able to get one of each. This will require a lot of resources, though, so if you've only got enough for one, go with Dusk Mane Necrozma.
