The latest patch from Poppy's Playtime Chapter 4 arrived on March 6 and, in addition to some bigger updates, it's added something fans didn't even realize they wanted. According to the patch notes shared to Reddit by ALin0_666 — be forewarned that the spoiler tags in this post have been revealed, so there are some spoilers in the screenshots from Chapter 4 — the update was mostly meant to address "bug fixes, visual glitches, and boss fight adjustments." However, it also added a surprise that fans weren't expecting: "Added the ability for players to burn the poppy flowers in the Lab’s entrance."
Poppy Playtime Update 6 Lets Players Burn The Poppies In Front Of The Labs
It's Something A Lot Of Fans Try To Do
Poppy Playtime, titled Safe Haven, takes players deeper into the Playtime Co. factory, progressing the story and uncovering plenty of new lore. Along their adventure, players will make their way to the entrance of Lab-4, known simply as "the Labs" in the game. The entrance to the Labs is lined on both sides by planters with poppy flowers growing out of them.

Poppy Playtime Fans, I'm Begging You To Stop Blaming Poppy
Poppy often has questionable motives behind her actions in Poppy Playtime, but in Chapter 4, she didn’t do anything to deserve the title of villain.
These poppies are the ones getting singled out to get singed in the March 6 update. The addition may seem random, but trying to burn these delightful red flowers is something most of us are guilty of.
"...The first thing everyone did when entering that room was shoot the flare gun at the flowers."
The change was likely made by Mob Entertainment in response to player behavior, as Redditor Jofus002 says: "They probably noticed that the first thing everyone did when entering that room was shoot the flare gun at them." Post-patch, it's now possible to actually set the flowers on fire, robbing the underground facilities of the last bit of nature to reach the depths.
