  • The cast of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury also includes Power Rangers legends like David Yost and other beloved returning characters.

The Power Rangers Cosmic Fury cast sees the return of most Power Rangers Dino Fury characters, but it also includes new names and some iconic Power Rangers actors. Cosmic Fury serves as Dino Fury season 3, but the newest Power Rangers show is also a celebration of the franchise’s 30-year-old legacy. Having the Dino Fury cast return for a third season is historical for Power Rangers, as every team since the Zordon Era would only stick around for two seasons maximum.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury is very different from previous Power Rangers seasons in many ways, from the original Ranger costumes to the shorter number of episodes. Those waiting for Power Rangers Dino Fury season 3 will now get to revisit their favorite character in Cosmic Fury, whereas those new to the Power Rangers chronology can meet a new team of Rangers. Here is a breakdown of the Power Rangers Cosmic Fury cast.

Hunter Deno as Amelia Jones

Hunter Deno as Amelia Jones in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Amelia Jones, played by Hunter Deno, returns in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, now as the Red Ranger. Deno originally played Amelia in Power Rangers Dino Fury’s first two seasons, during which Amelia was the Pink Ranger. At the end of Dino Fury season 2, Amelia discovered she was an alien from the planet of Rafkon and that she was the daughter of Void Queen and Void Knight. The importance of Amelia to Dino Fury season 2’s story hinted at a bigger role for the character in Cosmic Fury. Former Red Ranger Zayto will become the Zenith Ranger, and Amelia is now Power Rangers' first female Red Ranger to lead a team for an entire season.

Russell Curry as Zayto

Russell Curry as Zayto in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Russell Curry reprises his Dino Fury role as Zayto in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Zayto was the Red Ranger and team leader during Power Rangers Dino Fury, as well as the oldest member of the team by millions of years. The Red Ranger went through some significant changes at the end of the show. Zayto died in Dino Fury, although he was later brought back by the Morphin Masters. Russell Curry’s Zayto was still the Red Ranger by the end of Dino Fury, but, at some point in Cosmic Fury, he is set to become the Zenith Ranger.

David Yost as Billy Cranston

David Yost as Billy in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury's intro

David Yost, who plays Billy in Power Rangers, returns to the franchise in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Yost recently appeared in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always – his first Power Rangers appearance since Power Rangers Zeo. While Billy’s return in Once & Always was very special, Cosmic Fury is the first Power Rangers series David Yost stars in since Zeo. Billy is not just a cameo in Cosmic Fury, as the original Blue Ranger returns as a mentor to this relatively new team of Power Rangers. Yost’s Power Rangers appearances now include Mighty Morphin, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Zeo, Once & Always, and Cosmic Fury.

Ryan Carter as Heckyl

Power Rangers Dino Charge's Heckyl and the Dark Ranger

Ryan Carter played Heckyl in Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Super Dino Charge. Heckyl was a complex villain who eventually broke free of the Dark Energem’s influence and became a friend of the Power Rangers. The Super Sentai counterpart of Carter’s Dino Charge character becomes a Ranger, but the Dark Ranger never actually appeared on a Power Rangers show. This is finally changing with Cosmic Fury, which brings Heckyl as the Dark Ranger. Interestingly, Dino Charge takes place in a different continuity from most Power Rangers seasons, including Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury.

Kai Moya as Ollie Akana

Kai Moya as Ollie in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Ollie Akana, played by Kai Moya, is also returning in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Moya originally played Ollie in Dino Fury’s seasons 1 and 2. A brilliant mind, Ollie is always trying to come up with new inventions that can help the Power Rangers. He and Amelia started to date toward the end of Dino Fury season 2, shortly after Ollie broke free of Lord Zedd’s mind control. The Power Rangers Cosmic Fury trailers have strongly hinted at Ollie becoming evil again, which makes sense given that Lord Zedd also returns in Cosmic Fury.

Tessa Rao as Izzy Garcia

Tessa Rao as Izzy Garcia in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Izzy Garcia, played by Tessa Rao, returns as the Cosmic Fury Green Ranger. Tessa Rao’s Izzy was introduced a few episodes into Dino Fury, with her and her brother ing an already-formed team of Rangers that included Zayto, Amelia, and Ollie. Izzy is Power Rangers’ first female Green Ranger and the first openly LGBTQ+ character in a Power Rangers TV show. She is the youngest member of the team and was about to go to college during Dino Fury’s ending episodes. With the Rangers now heading into space to fight Lord Zedd as part of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury's story, Izzy’s plans are set to change.

Jordon Fite as Aiyon

Jordon Fite as Aiyon in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Aiyon, played by Jordon Fite, was the sixth Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Fury. The Gold Ranger returns in Cosmic Fury, and he is no longer a "sixth Ranger" when it comes to the formal definition of this Power Rangers trope. Jordon Fite’s Aiyon had been kept frozen for millions of years, similar to Zayto, meaning he is technically much older than almost everyone on the team. Aiyon’s morpher and the design of his costume were quite unique in Dino Fury, but he will now have the same type of Power Rangers morpher as the rest of the team.

Chance Perez as Javi Garcia

Chance Perez as Javi in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Chance Perez plays Javi in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, a role he originally played in Dino Fury. Javi Garcia is the brother of Izzy Garcia, and both he and his sister ed the Power Rangers at a later point in the story. Chance Perez is also a singer, which is something that was incorporated into Javi’s story. The Cosmic Fury Black Ranger is a musician, although his father was initially not ive of it. Javi has a metal arm in all of the Cosmic Fury posters and trailers, meaning the Black Ranger will lose his right arm at some point.

Jacqueline Joe as Fern

Jacqueline Joe as Fern in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

Jacqueline Joe played Fern in Power Rangers Dino Fury, a ing character that only appeared in a few episodes. However, Fern is now part of the main Power Rangers Cosmic Fury cast. Fern and Izzy became girlfriends in Dino Fury season 1, and the former found out the latter was a Ranger shortly after. The promotional Cosmic Fury images confirmed that Fern will be Power Rangers’ first Orange Ranger. While there have been Orange Rangers in alternate universes in the comics, as well as a comedy bit in S.P.D., Power Rangers had yet to feature an actual Orange Ranger.

Kelson Henderson as Mick Kanic

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury Mick

Kelson Henderson reprises his role as Mick Kanic in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. Mick was a recurrent character in Power Rangers Ninja Steel and Power Rangers Ninja Steel, serving as comic relief but also as a trustable friend of the Power Rangers. Mick also had a cameo in Power Rangers Dino Fury. Interestingly, Mick is just one of many Power Rangers characters Kelson Henderson has played over the years between voice roles and other appearances. Henderson’s involvement with Power Rangers began in 2004’s Dino Thunder and continued all the way through Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
