More details, including a first-look trailer, have officially been revealed about the second Predator series was reinvigorated in 2022 with the Dan Trachtenberg-directed Prey. Since then, Trachtenberg was confirmed to be directing the next franchise film, Predator: Badlands. The news then came in October 2024 that a second Predator movie would also be released in 2025. That initial announcement confirmed that Trachtenberg also helmed this second film, but did not reveal any of its details.
Now, Hulu has officially revealed details about the second 2025 Predator movie in a new teaser trailer and announcement. The movie will be titled Predator: Killer of Killers, and will be an animated action-adventure film. According to a synopsis, this installment will be an "anthology story," focusing on characters in three distinct settings. These settings include feudal Japan, the Viking era, and WW2, all of which are touched upon in the teaser trailer. The trailer also confirmed that Predator: A Killer of Killers will be released on Hulu on June 6. A synopsis of the film is found below:
The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent – the ultimate killer of killers.
In addition to the trailer and synopsis, a poster for Predator: Killer of Killers was also revealed, which can be found below:

Predator: Badlands - Release Date, Cast, Story, Trailer & Everything We Know
After the success of 2022's Prey, the Predator franchise is moving forward with another standalone film that it tentatively called Badlands.
These are hugely significant updates to the Predator franchise for several reasons. Firstly, this will be the first feature film in the franchise to be animated. This will expand the artistic boundaries of the film series, creating a new feel. Secondly, the release plan confirms that it will come out before Predator: Badlands and that, like Prey, it will come directly to streaming via Hulu. This will give audiences a taste of the Predator universe and build the hype for the November release of Badlands.
Our Take On The Predator Franchise Announcement
Predator: Killer Of Killers Will Add Depth To The Yatuja
This Predator update is a fascinating expansion of the already unique franchise. The triptych anthology structure will allow Killer of Killers to explore how the Yatuja has affected multiple generations and cultures. This has already been touched upon in Prey, which follows the story of a Comanche Nation warrior trying to protect her tribe from the Predators. Predator: Killer of Killers can allow for multiple interpretations of this concept, and its trailer promises a unique visual style.
