Never thought Spike was hotter. He’s short with a tiny body and big head. Angel was tall, dark and handsome. It’s all about preference though. Don’t see anything attractive about the actor who played Spike. He’s old now and looks it.

Angel did a whole lot more as far as helping save people than Spike ever did. The difference between them is Angel was already good when Buffy met him. He had a cause and purpose. He didn’t have to change for the love of a woman. He changed for himself. Angel is who he is regardless of who he’s involved with just as Buffy is who she is no matter what guy she is seeing.

Spike had nothing going on for himself except following the women he is in love with. It’s the same obsessive, repetitive behavior he displayed as a human with Cecily, and as a vampire with Dru and Buffy. Spike is not capable of standing on his own. He went from being Buffy’s sidekick to the Angel show as Angel’s annoying sidekick. The character has always been written as emotionally weak incapable of standing on his own. 

Buffy and Angel star-crossed.lovers story was the heart of BTVS. It will always be Team Bangel for me. Their love and ion for one another made them epic.

Spike and Buffy were gross and toxic. The bathroom sexual assault solidified how disgusting Spike was. Giving him a soul and essentially trying to make him Angel 2.0 in the last season was a joke..
