I get that Zod would term things as, she stole his powers.
But that wouldn't be reality for everyone else.
Some other power or action stole his power and gave it to her. She didn't know or have consent.
To keep terming it as that she stole the power, just isn't true.

About DC, I feel like I have heard thousands of times of what they are going to do. New concepts. Sales pitches. But the final product is similar, batman centric. Silly suicide squad, or batman's wrestling promo type style and smoker voice.
Yet, DC always talks of change.
Marvels trope is that every encounter, someone has to be a snarky, wise-ass. Usually Stan Lee, Iron man, starlord, antman, but can be any character. There must be one to take that role in any dialogue.
I think most people know that this is what to expect.

Nothing will ever be made more clear. As long as today's answer by whomever you said, can be changed tomorrow by the next editor, writer, or even the same exact person changing their mind. Reality in comics is very fickle. It makes me wonder if they should even stop trying to define things, knowing it is futile in a very short time. Historically, For a very long time, many decades, there were mostly unchanging power levels. Then, For awhile there became a trend of half the mutants becoming Omega. Either themselves overall Omega, or an Omega level power. And yes, this is an Omega level power creep.
