If You're Just Getting Into Fantasy Books, Please Avoid These 10 Series
With the Elric books you really need to read them as part of the Eternal Champion cycle. Unfortunately that requires a lot of different series and trying to put them in an understandable sequence is almost impossible. Knowing that Elric is only one incarnation of the Eternal Champion that spans more than 5 separate but connected series does make it more interesting but difficult. Especially when several are out of print.
The Mistborn Movie's Disappointing Fate Confirms A Harsh Reality For Fantasy Adaptations
I liked the Mistborn series but would have no interest in a movie or show adaptation of it. To be honest the main draw that kept me reading was curiosity regarding what new metals and alloys produced as far as powers. Basically I was all about the magic system and less about the characters, although they were well written.
Watching a movie or show after reading the books would be the same to me as reading a very close adaptation of a mystery where I already know the ending. LotR was able to me because of the scope of the material. Game of Thrones didn't interest me because the world he created didn't interest me. I mainly read fantasy and science fiction and own literally thousands of books. I never managed to get through the second chapter of the second GoT book.
Castiel Already Has The Perfect Supernatural Season 16 Story Mapped Out: Replacing Jack As The Show's God
Wouldn't work, Jack isn't Chuck. The only reason that Chuck lost his powers was that he "wrote himself into the story", constraining his powers. Jack specifically avoided that which is why Dean was allowed to die in a pedestrian way. Jack and Amara had merged and Jack had no intention of being "hands on" as he put it. He wasn't going to appear on Earth again or interfere with fate. If he doesn't leave a hole like Chuck did nothing is going to be able to replace him.
All 5 Andrew Lloyd Webber Movie Musicals, Ranked
Jesus Christ Superstar was ok as a movie but I actually prefer to listen to the movie soundtrack. Some of the imagery was jarring to the story, such as the tanks and Judas descending with a choir. Since I've seen the film the images still are in the background of my mind when listening.
I still don't understand the controversy about Carl Anderson as a black Judas. He was the best talent there and the part was difficult, requiring a good actor as well as singer.
Ted Neely as Jesus, where did they dig him up? Some relative of the producer. He was the low point of the entire movie. High pitched whiny voice and over emoting until it almost became a parody. I kept picturing him while watching Life of Brian.
"That Was My Take On It": Supernatural Actors Address Popular Dean Winchester Theory
Probably not. After it turns out that Sam and Dean only survived because Chuck kept them alive the miraculous escapes lose all meaning. Almost as soon as Jack leaves Dean dies in a mundane manner. Any character spinoffs won't be able to use that trope anymore.
“What The Heck Just Happened”: One Of Jason Voorhees’ Iconic Kills In Infamous Friday The 13th Sequel Gets Glowing Review From VFX Artists
That's one of the ones I actually liked. It was over the top and kind of a throwback to the 80s with women in the crew wearing not a lot.
One Of The Most Mindblowing Cliffhangers In TV History Will Never Be Resolved
The TV concept has been around a very long time, at least since the mid 70s. There was a Star Trek short story, Visit to a Weird Planet Revisited, where the main characters use the transporter and end up on the set of the show and the actors end up on the Enterprise.
Supernatural Set Up A Totally Different Sam & Dean Winchester, But Needs Season 16 To Pay It Off
Stable, balanced and well adjusted?
That really sounds pretty dull compared to the original. The fact they were broken is what drove the original series and the only thing that saved it from being the "monster of the week".
One Of The Best Space Shows Of The 1990s Added A Genius Twist To An Overused Sci-Fi Trope
So did Star Trek TNG. Episode was Tin Man.
Why One Controversial The Twilight Zone Episode Was Banned For 52 Years
One of the best episodes in the series.
10 Biggest Ways Supernatural Changed Between Season 1 & Season 15
I always thought a good ending would be the Kitsune's son killing Dean like he said he was going to do after Dean killed his mother. Would have been a better ending than a piece of rebar in a barn pole.
10 Harsh Realities Of Watching Supernatural Season 1, 19 Years Later
Of course it's somewhat weak. Sam didn't want to be involved in hunting so there was friction with Dean. Even Kripke said they were setting things up for later seasons in season one. He only intended five seasons so you have to view it as a five season arc. Looking at it that way there really was no reason to do much with the parents since they didn't really do much through season five. He was trying to get things set up and squeezed in before the final episodes of the show. After it got renewed for season six he left.
My Biggest Supernatural Season 16 Worry Makes Me Think A Reboot Would Be Better
Jack is gone. Hands off and not part of the story anymore in his own words.
Jack and Amara combined. Nothing is beyond the two of them anymore. The fact they weren't in harmony was why Chuck wasn't all powerful.
My Biggest Supernatural Season 16 Worry Makes Me Think A Reboot Would Be Better
Jack said straight out the world was on it's own. He was not going to write himself into the story like Chuck did. Completely hands off.
My Biggest Supernatural Season 16 Worry Makes Me Think A Reboot Would Be Better
Some things need to end with dignity, not be dragged out forever for money.
The tale has been told, nothing new is going to appear. The 15 seasons locked in the structure of the universe, since all the other ones are gone, including purgatory. God is replaced, Amara is in harmony with Jack and he will not write himself into the story like Chuck did. The archangels are gone, Hell is run by Rowena and keeping to itself. The Empty is asleep once more. No angels, no demons, no God, no Amara. What stories are left except monster of the week shows that just get more and more boring?
10 Reasons Supernatural Season 16 Would Be A Bad Idea
Padlecki was taking about them maybe doing a 4 episode miniseries at the most. Neither one sounded interested in going back to series work. They're doing other things now.
10 Reasons Supernatural Season 16 Would Be A Bad Idea
Jack was God at the end. He was in everything, as he put it. Amara was in him in harmony with him. There's no room for Chuck anymore.
After 57 Years, Star Trek Settles the Truth About Trelane's Godlike Species
Comic books aren't canon so who cares? None of the godkilling stuff makes any sense, they just couldn't figure out how to keep inflating the stakes.
Technically canon has always been tv and movies. Even books were considered non-canon such as getting rid of the Borg after they destroy most of the Federation in the Destiny trilogy.
Even the reboot was set in an alternate universe.
