See AllWhy Peter Dinklage's Game Of Thrones Finale Opinion Remains The Same 5 Years Later: "You Don't Have To Agree With Me"
When I first watched the GoT finale I was a little mad about it. It bothered me that they spent all those seasons building Dany up to be the mother of dragons, breaker of chains etc etc, only to have her snap at the end and basically turn into her father and "burn them all". But after watching the series a couple more times, my perspective has changed. Throughout the whole series you see many characters who claim to be the rightful hier or a king in the north, etc etc. All of the families who want to stake their claim to the throne and rule the 7 Kingdoms. Dany always spoke of breaking the wheel and that's exactly what ended up happening. Bran being chosen as King would start a whole new system of rulership, where a ruler would be chosen by the people as opposed to inherited by next of kin.
And most importantly Tyrion survived to the end lol! That's what I most cared about. I also would have liked to have seen Jaime survive and put a sword through his sister, but I let that one go.
I'll be interested to see (if it ever happens) how George RR Martin writes the end of this story. Although my hopes of that ever happening keep slowly slipping away
