What everybody seems to forget is this and to me it is the most overlooked yet most important aspect of John wick's story, he is MEANT TO LIVE AND SUFFER and not find peace for the life he lived before, on top of that, his wife told him to live, and if anyone re when he faced the leader who set atop The high table, the leader asked him why he wanted to live, to which John replied " TO HER", he even cut off his finger and gave him his wedding ring to show his conviction! I don't know how the directors or even Keanu Reeves overlook this part but this is the entirety of John wick's meaning for living! It's a simple truth he was always meant to survive as a way of penance...
