The Rotten Tomatoes audience score is such a small cross section of the audience to be practically useless as an accurate measure for how people view the show. Add to the the catastrophes of past issues with people using the audience score to make a statement, and it's virtually useless to figuring out how the audience actually feels about the show.

I Was Really Frustrated By Doctor Who Season 14's Latest Episode
Not every monster needs an explanation. I'm thinking back to one of my favorite episodes of RTDs original run: Midnight. You don't see the monster, you never find out what it is where it came from or even what it wants. That episode left far more questions than this one did and yet it was still a satisfying episode. Not everything needs an answer, and the answers you're looking for aren't really important to the point of the episode. People often spend too much time looking for answers to unimportant questions that they loose sight of what is actually important in the story.
