Ridley Scott's Alien Sequel Tease Confirms 12 Years Of Waiting Is Finally Over
My feeling is the Prometheus / covenant arc is absolutely fantastic. What it however did do was leave viewers largely in the dark with no explanation as to what it was trying to achieve. Having watched these films many times, mulled over their meaning and read people's interpretations, it's clear there is a lot more going on that would probably have gone well over the heads of people in the initial viewing leaving them thinking 'what was that all about?'. Which they never will now because they only care to please the audience and get the numbers / bums on seats.
