Competition was tough this year. I don't begrudge any of the nominees or winners. What I don't like is the nomination process where we point out who was snubbed as if someone who is nominated should be replaced. Perhaps they need 6 nominees in each category. Just sayin.

I was about to disagree, but he's right. I blame Disney. They have pie in the sky expectations of each series and are growing nothing. They are jerking everything around and not sticking with anything. It is gross mismanagement of artistic expression.

I loved Book of Boba Fett. The Tuskens were my favorite part. It gives Boba empathy and purpose. It also explains why he saved Fennec instead of letting her die. I don't need to know how many people work for him. His relationship with Cad Bane does not need flushing out. It is what it is.

What I'm getting at is how "fan" expectations and demands ruin a show/property. Fans are not the writer or director. It is not their vision and it shouldn't be. Fans should show some respect the same as fans shouldn't boo their own teams. Stop complaining as if you have some kind of ownership. You don't. If you think that should be your role, then get out of your parents basement and go work for Disney.

I would suggest it was snubbed because it didn't get a best director nomination. Then again, ten best picture noms, but only five slots for director. If they are best picture, the movie didn't direct itself.
