Brosnan even said he never read any of the books. He just played to Connery's and Moore's interpretations. Goldeneye was actually written for Dalton and to his strengths and that's why you see accasional harder edge to Brosnan at times. Overall sadly Brosnan is at the bottom of the list for me. Goldeneye is fun and entertaining but at times there's too much hokey humour at the wrong given moments. Moore was perfect at this but seems like Brosnan is trying too hard.
