Bud, I say this with love & respect within the fellow fandom, this is a reaching take. Yeah we love the detail and get absorbed in the world, but genuinely you need to enjoy Star Wars and be able to step outside of that intense side to get view through the wider lens of a causal or average viewer and how they watch it too. - The casual fans are having different ways in, there are younger fans where Pe is bigger to them than Leia, as that was their route in and dress up as her at seasonal things like Halloween. It’s starting to show that those even younger fans coming in via the newer stuff are dressing as Prisoners from Andor, Ashoka, etc. Even at recent (SW) events there are people already dressing at Vernestra & Jecki, and I’m sure that will bleed into seasonal events too. - “No longer canon” isn’t correct, it wasn’t canon to begin with. It’s a small detail, but important - otherwise everyone and their dog who states something makes something canon. And the line on this was drawn a long while before the recent series. Even George said he’d actually change canon if it didn’t work for him. - Plus, how many fans actually knew his birthday before the hate channels started stirring this up (There is agenda and two main reasons why they are doing this). But, I’m guessing very few. Especially of the wider base that watch content, be it casual fans or otherwise. I’m just hoping Ki-Adi-Mundi gets a shed load of birthday cards this year given the wave of people that suddenly know it!
