I don't understand all of the hatred for Kidd. Severide is no longer screwing around and no one likes him being settled? One while some even wanted them to get a divorce. All marriages shouldn't have to end in divorce.

But I don't see why the writers keep playing around with Violet and Carter instead of allowing them to get together. It's frustrating to watch them still have feelings while they keep involving others.

I will agree however, that it is time to expand the storyline to someone else other than Severide and Kidd. Why can't she get pregnant as a twist in the story?

Freshen it up somewhere. Don't get rid of anybody, just make some changes.
