I appreciate the actors and their acting ability. That's about all the positive I can say. Rand was well cast for sure. I absolutely loathe the changes they've made to Perrin's story. I hate what they've done to Abell Cauthon. I started reading the books in 1996 and fell in love with the world Jordan created. While I expect some changes to be made in adaptation, the complete and total destruction of important Canon just ticks me off. This series was definitely not created for dedicated fans of the books. If I had never read the books, I'd probably enjoy it; however, I have read them and find this hot mess of a show disappointing and disgraceful. This has nothing to do with politics, "wokeness" or "unwokeness" and has everything to do with my deep love for the source material and its lore and canon.
