To the individual claiming Gambit never thinks with his “genitals”: their first time together occurred under questionable circumstances. While imprisoned, Rogue was tormented by traumatic flashbacks from Gambit's memories and begged him for clarity. Instead of helping her by explaining the maddening memories she was reliving, he reminded Rogue this could be their only chance to be together, leading to her first time being in a dirty cave, surrounded by others, while she was vulnerable, powerless, and shackled by the neck. If one wanted to parallel comics to real life, this could be seen as taking advantage of her state. However, I don’t hold this against Gambit, as he’s a fictional character, one I enjoy. Writers often use rushed, exaggerated scenarios as plot devices due to storytelling constraints, not to reflect realistic dynamics.
As for Rogue: The Savage Land, issue #1's first run is sold out and I believe is ranking among the top 10 best-selling comics of all time, indicating that most fans appreciate this story. Virtue signaling over a comic book is misplaced. If people channeled this energy into helping real victims, it would make a far greater impact.

Apparently the current writer did not like Rogue and Magneto together and prefers Magneto as a villain. Thus why after Cyclops chastises Rogue for bringing kids to a battle she criticizes him for having Magneto on his team, implying that is a negative thing despite the fact Rogue has been on a team with Magneto and even dated him. In fact, their last interaction that I am aware of was at Rogue and Gambit’s post wedding dinner celebration where Rogue, whose powers have become uncontrollable again, is having a panic attack that she will lose Gambit as a result of her powers becoming more unstable and he assures her that Gambit loves her and is not going anywhere. It's inconsistent with established continuity.

Who is 'we'? While you're entitled to your opinion, you don't speak for everyone. In the original Savage Land arc, there was no grooming involved; Rogue was an adult, and their interactions were limited to mutual respect and a non-exploitative dynamic (not to mention the most intimate moment they shared was a hug). This storyline was popular and resonated with fans, which is why it's being revisited. The fact that the first run has sold out suggests there are many who appreciate this continuation.
I understand your concerns, but I don't think it's fair or constructive to equate this fictional storyline with real-life tragedies. Doing so risks diminishing the gravity of those experiences.
