Marvel had What if? comics years before fringe existed. The original Star Trek had alternate universe bad guys (usually sporting goatees). All fringes ideas had been used before but fri ge was the first time they were all in one place. Don't get me wrong, i loved the show and still do, but none of thr tropes were invented by fringe.
