See AllWhy Person Of Interest Killed Off Detective Carter In Season 3
Since I watched Person of Interest after it had been cancelled, I’m obliged to say I believe Taraji was not stifled in any way by her role and participation in this series. She set a precedent, even if she doesn’t realize it, and her role was one that seems to have really solidified her as an actress of exceptional quality. I have seen her in many of the other roles - movies and such and she clearly got better over the years. Person of Interest is an absolute favorite show of mine that I watch over and over from the very first season and Carter’s role could not have been played as well by anyone else! I’m hear to say, Taraji, your role didn’t stifle you, perhaps prepared you for all the wonderful roles that followed. I applaud Detective Carter and the stamp she made in that role. It established and marked the show as one of the best drama/comedy series I’ve seen. I say comedy only because the humor throughout the series is absolutely priceless and always spot on, taking the edge off and allowing it to be relatable. I am thankful to you Taraji for your dedication to your craft and, knowing when it’s time to move on to next level of life and your career. Person of Interest was a part of your journey that you should view as a good part of your journey, but not a stifle. You were great in it, your end was so heartfelt and timely, and you made a HUGE impact with your role and the series overall. Thank you, and much success to you.
