Mushoku Tensei, Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon, Reincarnated as an Aristocrat, Wistoria, Ishura and The Elusive Samurai were just as good if not better than Frieren. Solo Leveling was just better this season. It didn’t drag like Frieren did. It didn’t have the typical aloof character that has become an annoying mainstay in most anime today. Solo gave fans exactly what they wanted. Epic battles, a story that doesn’t drag on and on for no apparent reason other than to fill an episode order list. It was precise and concise, exactly what the anime world needed in 2024. Frieren had a better argument as best new anime not best overall. Better luck next season.
