It's only a "plot hole" because you are bitter and whiny. It is explained in both current cannon and in EU/Legends that Luke and Leia have very different force abilities...Luke even its in both timelines she is likely more powerful with the force than he is, just in radically different ways and abilities. That alone closes your supposed "plot hole" as Leia could very easily have had a force ability that gave her better recollection Luke wouldn't have access to.

Also the "dying of a broken heart" is supposed to be indicative of the "power of love" in the universe. Love saves Vader (and Luke, technically). Love causes Anakin to fall. Love saves many and also causes much grief. It is as powerful as The Force in it's own right. It transcends ethics, beliefs, species, and in a few cases, even death. It has caused Sith to reform and Jedi to go Dark Side.

The only saving grace to this article is that it is an "Opinion" piece. Might as well be a fictional short story...and that would have more substance beyond whining and griping that "I don't like this and think you shouldn't either".

...why would anyone fear someone who has been "Dead" for 5-6 years already? Boba Fett had to reestablish himself. Hell, the little "gang" he hired said as much to him, as he won them over.

We're just going to ignore Discovery's use of holo tech to decorate you office? (I blame the Kelvin Timeline for altering the main timeline). Granted the pre-original series there was no tangible action to holograms, just light points to interact with.

...or the fact that EMH and holo-tech was deeply used in Picard on current ships and even in Chateau Picard for his private office.

Not a retcon, and Anakin's saber that was ed to Luke (The youngling slayer 9000) actually had 3 crystals in it...hence why it has a unique blue tint just slightly different from other blue blades seen.

Not even a side point that it could have been a direct reference to James Earl Jones 5 mins before he has the ONLY Darth Vader line in the prequel trilogy? The guy who also voiced Mufasa in The Lion King? No?

Yeah it was totally Lucas being super clever and being some master scholar of mythologies...couldn't have ANYTHING to do with him maybe just being a goofball and throwing a completely different reference to poke fun and give credit to someone who helped shape his universe from the very beginning.
