See AllNetflix's Fantasy Show With 94% On Rotten Tomatoes Is A Better Adaptation Than The Witcher
Arcane had a very unique art style and did some interesting things story wise but it has a number of elements that irked me.
Agreed I love Castlevania and Marco Polo!
Benedict Wong’s performance as Kublai Kahn is inspired, I love the look at the Mongol Empire, and the sets, costumes, characters, near everything is impeccable.
And Castlevania has such great art and action, great voice talent like James Callus, a team that knows their stuff and references the games with little visual Easter eggs, and it explores some things rarely done like write one of the most healthy romantic relationships seen on TV and continue to make it entertaining!
Arcane has a really good visual style and does some unexpected things story wise but personally some things about it kind of annoyed me, I would say Blue Eyed Samurai is a really impressive series too, not flawless, but really damn good. And personally I like it a lot more than Arcane.
Also while sci fi rather than fantasy I think Edgerunners is really good too. And does a heart breaking look at a cold dystopian system that values money over human life, though I have found that one tends to appeal more to male friends than female friends of mine.
I got to say I think Netflix has a lot of really good animations and some real gems hidden about in their catalogue.
After Hearing Farscape's Creator Discuss Revival Plans, I'm Confident The Franchise's Future Is Safe
Yes, a wonderful series.
"Every Child In America Will Hate My Guts": Mark Hamill Teasing His Villain In 26-Year-Old Franchise Sounds Like A Replacement For His Second Most Iconic Character
Walter, me boyo!
I am not convinced you have heard a single role from him other than the Joker and the Trickster if you think that’s the case! There is a whole wide world of Mark Hamill you have never dreamed of.
Go on! Step out into the Mark Hamill sunshine, touch the Mark Hamill grass, and breath in the sweet smell of the Mark Hamill air! Why you might just even like it!
After Learning About BOTW's Original Story, I'm Relieved We Never Got That Zelda Game
“Even though many games include a wide array of unusual ideas, such as…” an alien invasion “… in Majora's Mask”!
There I fixed it! Because there already was an Alien invasion back in Majora’s Mask! It wasn’t the main enemy but it was simultaneously silly, weird, haunting, and tragic.
I Thought I Understood Nosferatu's Ending, But Robert Eggers' Explanation Proved Me Wrong
Nosferatu is not my favorite of Eggers movies but I still think it was beautifully shot and atmospheric. True not the most scary, but for any criticism it has I find it funny to hear someone craving a jump scare! I feel like in general most people I speak to find jump scares cheap and predictable ways get a scare and don’t enjoy or respect them. Lol
The mustache though on the other hand it’s not specifically about being scared, it’s about one of the main inspirations for vampires in the real world himself: the basis for Dracula, Vladimir “the mustacheoed impaler” Tepes! And Orlock has even got his hat! Personally I think that’s great!
I Thought I Understood Nosferatu's Ending, But Robert Eggers' Explanation Proved Me Wrong
Deeply researching and paying attention to the source material is Robert Eggers MO. You see it in the VVitch, the Lighthouse, and Norsemen. They are all made and written from studying old letters and the way people spoke in those cultures and times, myths, tales, superstitions. I love his ion and attention to detail. He’s a breath of fresh air!
