I thought the development of the t800, once it's mission completed, was reminiscent of Issac Assimov's Robots series, where there are good and bad AI, however logic wins out, and maybe that is a hopeful element for AI, though, I would hope the would workshop the process before turning to violence, like maybe helping Humanity weed out our worst, and casual indifferent, which results in people and families starving, or being homeless.
