I think the writer of this op-ed piece didn't quite understand what was being conveyed.

Gibbs was still tied up inside. He felt something but couldn't place it and before he had a chance to compartmentalize it she ed away. So he buried it. This was a story he never tells...and now that he has, he realizes he did love her then and he still does.

I'm really tired of NCIS screwing their fans over. We had a whole two-month break and now we get wet three episodes maybe four episodes and we've got to wait another month there was no new episode last week no new episode this week there will be no new episode next week so we have to wait till the end of March when you literally just came back at the very end of January?

After 22 years and thousands of story lines, a new direction can certainly be off putting. One of the most beautiful parts of this series is the fact that they have actually recycled storylines over and over again and volleyed story lines to the different branches of the franchise. Yet we've remained entertained. I honestly hope that the whole Jessica Jimmy Palmer thing just stops it's not what any of us want to see. It's messy and awkward and it has the potential for Jimmy to be obsessed and like I said messy we don't want that in this show. I personally like origins. Gibbs is not always going to be the lead because that's not what this show is about the show is about well origins. The origins of Gibbs the origins of NCIS the origins of Mike Franks. The people and the characters he met along the way that shaped him up to the person that we were first introduced to at the beginning of the NCIS series.
