See AllGilmore Girls Set Up Dean's Downfall In Its Very First Episode & It Took Me 25 Years To Realize It
I think putting the failure of Dean and Rory's relationship solely on Dean's shoulders is extremely unfair. Rory was just as much to blame as Dean was and has just as many character flaws.
I mean we're talking about a teenaged boy here so expecting him to be completely secure in himself and their relationship is an absurdity!!! Neither one of them was particularly secure in it because they were kids!
And when Jess came to town in my opinion it was Rory and her ambivalence that led to Dean eventually walking away. She was treating him really badly during that time.
Now the whole marrying Lindsey thing was just stupid but again he was young and clearly didn't know how to cope with the end of his relationship with Rory so he tried to move on and made a very bad decision...again something young people are prone to do. Perhaps if both their parents had the sense to step in and try to stop that Trainwreck from happening everyone would have been better off.
What we saw with Dean and Rory was essentially a quintessential first love. In most cases the couple moves on because they change and grow in different directions. That's just life and that's what we saw here.
Although when you look back over the show in my opinion it's Rory who sabotages most of her relationships, which is what eventually leads to her alone and pregnant just like her mother.
She had the man who wanted to marry her and give her a life but she walked away from him but again like her mother clearly never quite let go of him as we saw in the Netflix series.
In retrospect I think Rory always wanted to and believed she would follow a similar path as her mother when it came to love and marriage and while she seemed to have big dreams in reality I think she wanted a life much like her mother had so she made it happen.
Law & Order: SVU Just Paved The Way For Amanda Rollins' Return (& That's Why NBC Needs To Renew It For Season 27)
First let me say that I would be over the moon if they brought Rollins back full time. One of the biggest mistakes the show has made in their 20+ years was letting go of Kelli Giddish, but there are some complications to this despite how logical it is to bring her back.
The first is that she was let go for budgetary reasons and budgets for shows are only get tighter. Now one might say that the decision to let 2 characters go was to free up enough money to be able to afford Kelli's salary so that might not be as big an obstacle as the second one.
Amanda has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, so she can't really just go back to her old job at SVU without it being a demotion and if she were to go back to work at SVU she would outrank Fin who is Liv's second in command both in rank and seniority.
Now neither of these things couldn't be dealt with with some good writing and storytelling but I don't think anyone wants to see Amanda's return upsetting the well established chemistry among the SVU's team. One of the things we love about the character is that she was an entrenched member of the team and part of the wonderful chemistry that the of the unit had.
In any event I do hope they plan to bring Kelli back and that they do it in a way that honors both the character and the SVU team. I enjoy seeing glimpses into the family life of Rollins and Carisi. We waited so long for the pairing that it's been disappointing not to have more of an opportunity to see them interacting with their kids and just being the family we waited so long for them to be.
I think a great peripheral story would be Carisi wanting to legally adopt Jesse and Billie and getting pushback from one or both of the biological Dad's even though neither of them has played any kind of role in their lives and Sonny is the only father figure they've ever known.
Jacob Solved A Dutton Ranch Problem In 1923's Finale That Kevin Costner's John Dutton Couldn't In Yellowstone
The reality is that John was short sighted. It wasn't that he didn't have anyone to the ranch on to...he did. The obvious choice was to hand it off to Rip and Beth. There was no one who was more prepared to take it over than Rip and since he'd married Beth that meant it would stay in the family.
But that wasn't the only place that his lack of planning spelled the end of the ranch. Even with all of Beth's business savvy she and her father never thought to protect his heirs from the crushing inheritance tax that they would face when he was gone. There are ways that those taxes could have been avoided but by failing to do so he left Kayce and Beth with no other choice but to sell it.
NCIS Season 22 Just Reiterated Why Nick & Ellie's Relationship Didn't Work 4 Years After Emily Wickersham Left
Wait, does the person who wrote this article actually watch the show because it doesn't seem like it.
First of all, Ellie leaking NSA documents was a set up so she could have a plausible cover story for whatever this undercover mission is that Odette sent her on. It wasn't actually a "real thing". It was done by whatever agency Odette works with more than likely the CIA.
As for not wanting to marry again after her first marriage. She was all set to say to the proposal of her boyfriend a few seasons back but he ended up getting murdered by a terrorist, which Ellie avenged.
If you're going to write about a show and make suppositions then at least have the decency to get your facts straight!
Forget Kevin Costner's Replacement, Beth & Rip's Yellowstone Spinoff Already Has John Dutton's Best Successor
Wow, an entire article on pretty much exactly what I commented on in an article two days ago. Coincidence? I guess it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure all this out.
After Yellowstone's Kevin Costner Replacement News, I'm Now Convinced Beth & Rip's Spinoff Is Just Season 6
I think far more is being made of this news that they're looking for a Costner type actor for the new spinoff and a lot of supposition is being made about what this actor's character will mean to the show.
First of all Sheridan's "formula" aside the fact is that while Rip and Beth's characters were incredibly popular it stands to reason that Sheridan is hoping to attract new viewers to the new show not just fans of the original show or its other spinoffs, and in order to do that he needs an actor with enough star power that his casting will potentially bring new eyes with him. People who might not otherwise be looking for a show in this genre but are big enough fans of the actor that their curiosity may be sparked enough by his presence to give the show a chance.
As soon as I heard that they were looking for an actor of this ilk an obvious choice came to mind, and if I were one of the people tasked with finding him my first phone call would be to Tom Selleck since the cancellation of Blue Bloods has left him looking for his next project. Despite his age, he has said publicly that he is definitely looking for new projects and has no interest in retiring. Not only that, he makes his home on a ranch I believe in Wyoming when he's not working so there is that, not to mention the legions of fans who were incensed by CBS's decision to cancel Blue Bloods. Selleck anchored that series with an ensemble cast of younger characters all of whom had compelling storylines of their own for 14 seasons while maintaining high ratings and popularity and he's no stranger to the Western genre. To me, he's an obvious choice.
I think the other thing that's being overlooked during all this supposition is the importance of the presence of Carter in this new series. The delay in filming of Season 5 and the aging of the actor that occurred completely changed the dynamic of the character with Beth and Rip giving them the chance to become the anchor couple.
