The fact that this show is even still on the air is really off-putting to me. Do I watch it? No, I don't. So no need to say "just turn the channel!" I'm commenting on how dysfunctional this whole polyamorous situation is to begin with. Why? Because it is very one-sided, it all benefits HIM. Not the women, just him...he has his harem. Are the women allowed to have other husbands if they wish? Nope. So where is the equity?

Actually, in my view it doesn't really gloss over how Kate survived...they are in NYC, there is a building ablaze, the fire Dept would have been there quickly. As for Bronte not drowning...that one is pretty obvious...she faked it. She succumbed to Joe waaaaay too fast and he wanted to believe she was dead...so he turned and ran. The gamble paid off...I knew she wasn't dead.

At least with Last Man Standing, the political humor was made bearable because there was a balance to it with other of the family holding differing views. That's what sort of made it fun for this left-leaning lady lol. I can deal with political humor, even if a character has views I don't hold, as long as it's balanced out in some fashion and no one is bashed over the head with any specific view. I felt this episode didn't handle that well at all, and he is simply the same character he was in all of his other shows...just with a different family.
