See All"It Doesn't Make Sense": Don't Expect Spider-Man and MJ to Rekindle Their Romance Anytime Soon
As a long time ASM fan...(Since issue #163 in the 70s) I've never been a big fan of Peter & MJ. I'm all for a Gwen Stacy return. It'd be a great swerve to learn that Osborn and Miles Warren had secretly worked together to clone and hide the original Gwen Stacy all these years. Unfortunately, I doubt that's the path marvel takes. They screwed up the Hobgoblin years ago. (See ASM #249 if you don't believe me. Roderick Kingsley could not have been the original Hobgoblin as would later be revealed.). They have made a habit of screwing up the ASM universe. The stories have been notoriously bad since the gathering of 5 which ended the original ASM run and started the reboots. They've ruined Norman Osborn, they've ruined Venom, the Black Cat, and many others. They even ruined MJ. (A super-hero now? Jack-Pot? Really?) Years ago marvel ruined Marcy Kane in a limited series. There's nothing marvel won't ruin. If it's anything good or has potential, they'll screw it up because writers' egos will not allow them to see anything outside their own tunnel vision. Spider-Man for a long time was the greatest thing in comics. In the 70s and 80s you had not only ASM, but you had Marvel Team-up, and the spectacular Spider-man series and they would do a good job of keeping consistency between the 3 titles. The stories were good and they didn't try to reinvent the wheel every 2-3 years. I wasn't the biggest fan of the death of Jean DeWolffe but a great story that spawned another great story down the road. It went somewhere whereas a lot of the stories now go absolutely nowhere except circling the drain when the next reboot hits. Approaching 1000 issues of ASM and instead of greatness, it's turned to crap. Hopefully someday the editor and writers put their egos aside and get the character back to greatness again.
There’s Bad Horror Movies And Then There’s These 10 Most Unwatchable Horror Movies
Just finished the movie "skinamarink"....I probably spelled it wrong, which suits me fine because it took me 2 settings to get through a movie that in my 54 years, has got to be THE worst movie I've suffered through. Horrible. It took the top spot from my previous worst "High Tension"...followed by "Fargo" (the movie). If you haven't watched it, don't waste your time.
