See All10 Things Supernatural Does Better Than Buffy The Vampire Slayer
You're comparing 2 of my all time favorite shows but your obvious lack of enthusiasm for Buffy colors this article. "Rupert" s characterization alone is humorous . His character is called "Giles" almost never referred to by his 1st name, and if all you get from his description is a Brit with some arcana knowledge? Did you watch the actual show? He went to an actual academy specially trained as a Watcher- one is assigned to each slayer. Until the end of the series one never exists without the other. Much like, oh I don't know, perhaps Men of Letters on Supernatural whose origin was to advise hunters (or hairless apes,) as the Men regarded the 'weapons' they wielded with their mighty brains. And the "localized" events in Sunnydale Buffy and gang averted were apocalyptic events that would roll out from the Hellmouth and destroy the whole world, not just the town. The boys of Supernatural also averted such events. Call it a draw. But insinuating that Whedon didn't have a plan with regard to storyline for Angel, Spike etc, is just baffling. Unless you didn't watch the show. I'm a proud horror fantasy sci-fi nerd girl with room in my heart to acknowledge both shows were/are groundbreaking entertainment. Pop culture and philosophy classes were taught cross country on Buffy alone.. I could teach one myself on Supernatural as well. Say it with me, Once More With Feeling!
Should Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang come back in Grey's Anatomy season 21?
I love Christina. Christina and Merideth. I can think of many more emotionally impact full arcs she could have returned for, Derek's death and Meredith's attack to name but a few. But yeah, an arc where she throws down @ wasting opportunities for life saving research with a petulant and ever more irrational Katherine Fox? That would be a sight to see.
