The story was problematic to begin with.
There's such a thing as too much female empowerment. The toughest part of writing a female super hero is properly showing her weaknesses. When you make a female super hero out to be more than a male one with way less weaknesses than the male one's. You create a problematic character. Women have no less weaknesses than men do. Writing them to have less creates instant backlash. It's like they were completely blind when writing this show.
Either show female super heroes with the same amount of weaknesses or this will continue to happen. Same amount of not the same exact one's. Anyone thinking it won't is delusional.
