The show is brilliant: DC meets the Godfather.

I hadn't thought about the acting comparison until now but I think they are distinct, unique and brilliant in their own ways.

I tend to view shows on their own merits but I do have a penchant for certain genres which is why I reached for the Godfather.

The Nolan trilogy was refreshing and remains a powerful interpretation of the novels.

Affleck's interpretation came under a lot of criticism but as a graphic novel fan, I can appreciate what he was trying to do and if anything, I think he tried too hard.

The recent film is also great in my opinion but ittedly not to everyone's taste.

I'm not fussed. I always try to find something in films and I sometimes find that a film needs a few viewings before it can be fully appreciated.

I grew up on the old TV series with Adam West. Those shows crucified the novels but my childhood self loved them.
