See AllRings Of Power Season 3 Status Finally Confirmed By LOTR Showrunners After Months Of Uncertainty
Rings of Power is truly terrible, a complete mess, but I enjoy the slagging they get from all the channels on youtube....if they want to keep this up, why not? There are always two ways to look at a dumpster fire and it's through two perspectives you are able get from each; On one hand you see these comments from the most ridiculous people about how Rings of Power 2 is better, a step in the right direction, even though all the original problems still exist from the very first season, and on the other hand you get all this wonderful colorful commentary from Charlie Hopkins, Critical Drinker and so many others, slagging on the series in all their unique ways and it's priceless. There is one truth, ROP can never match Jackson's trilogy in of it's cast, or HBO's game of thrones in of it's story telling...and to call Rings of Power afterschool special Tolkien or Oxygen/Lifetime version of what could have been an epic moment for Amazon, is literally telling the sad truth about this series. I wish they'd stop ROP so someone else can come in and pick it up and try to save it
Rings Of Power Season 3 Status Finally Confirmed By LOTR Showrunners After Months Of Uncertainty
Agreed, saw 1st season, laughed at glimpses i saw of season 2.... to think I paying to get more of this sheite I don't want
2026’s Lord Of The Rings Movie Is An Even Bigger Risk After The Rings Of Power’s Improvement
Based on the statistics, RIngs of Power Season 2 started with an audience/viewership half that of Season 1's Debut...it's not growing in popularity in other words, in fact it's headed the other way..It may be that ROP's fanbase is going at what it ended up with at Season 2 and not grow. And from there does that really mean Amazon will be able to continue this?
In my humble opinion, ROP Season 2 didn't do that franchise any favors and anything else that comes out that hints a better than ROP, or a reunited cast from LOTR would be much welcome.
I wish, if Jackson does get back in the saddle, they'd take a hard look at the 4th age, the age of men and Tolkien's barely started "A New Shadow"....tons of modern material/modern statements to work with, especially with what's happening in the US, and Aragorn as an aged king, there's no reason Gandalf couldn't be sent back and any of the hobbits could appear....
It's the opportunity to write a tale with complete artistic license, and maybe only Jackon, Walsh and company could do that because Amazon demonstrates they absolutely cannot
If you also factor in Illuvatar, based on the lore, had one last major battle for the world there's a lot a writing team could do if there was some real courage
Galadriel's Replacement Is The Character The Rings Of Power Always Needed
yes they are related, i don't understand what you mean
Galadriel's Replacement Is The Character The Rings Of Power Always Needed
The assembled cast is probably one of the weakest points of this series, so as I read this article I knew this was going down the "fos" route, trying to sell us something that just isn't, wasn't, will never be there.....Galadriel is probably the worst. Keep in mind I have nothing against the actors personally, it's just these portrayals aren't any good and the writing is so poor it doesn't do the weak cast any favors.. She reminds us of the always inferior Jan Brady to Marcia Brady interplay drama from the Brady bunch. There is no way this version of Galadriel would ever mould into that Jackson version....in looks, actions or deeds, they've ruined Galadriel for the ages.
You have to keep in mind, for those of us that know anything, and even as the show would surmise at the beginning, this rabble just got done fighting with Morgoth and Sauron and their armies over hundreds of years...And I swear to you, I couldn't imagine any of these thousand year old elves capable of swinging a sword, Rings of Power Elrond and Celebrimbor, GilGalad, look like would be guest stars on Mr Rogers. If Jackson did anything right in comparison, his Elrond, and other elves look masculine to a degree you can trust their history in the background, skills in battle and their storied longevity.. The first look we get at Celebrimbor in the 1st series, he meekly comes from undercover the trees like a little boy and I couldn't help laughing out loud a little, because if you a real fan of the literature, look at John Howe and Alan Lee portrayals of this character. This is a battle hardened elf, smith who's thousands of years old by the time of events in ROP and he looks like the type of guy who's head waiter in a restaurant....very weak, looks like the type of guy Sauron could deceive right? But there's something more compelling if you see a strong character being manipulated who, in Sauron, would appear to be equal in power and strength to that of Celebrimbor. It's a terrible story and acting
The Rings of Power Season 2's Galadriel Replacement Puts The Show On The Right Track
The casting for Celebrimbor, who has the screen presence of a guest on Mr Rogers, was wrong so spending more time on him is a mistake.... Closing out Rings of Power for good would be the right move....."The Sea Is Always Right" ?
