Why would they do it is my question? When they made the original night king, they were attempting to protect themselves from the first men and the andals after that.
It's typical revisionist history, partially by applying today's standards to the past. Invading mainland Japan would have cost a million lives, both American and Japanese, Japanese losses would have been the vast majority of them. It was a horrific decision to make, but it was the right decision at the time and it still is, and always will be, no matter what standards you judge it by.
Run Silent, Run Deep is my favorite submarine movie ever. One of my favorite war movies. The deer hunter is up there, and I have to mention the longest day...
I've seen it a couple times. Great movie. Really makes you think. The way the made it completely apolitical was great, if nearly impossible to do, but they did it. The "western alliance" is Texas and California, which is about as believable as dogs and cats having frog babies together, but that what makes the movie not comparable to today's situation. I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time
I just recently discovered this show, but I'm glad I did. From the awesome casting, each actor seems perfect for their role, to the great story/ scripts, I think it is one of the best shows out there
I get what you're saying, but it's been what, 13 years since Dance with Dragons I believe. If he hasn't finished it by now he's not going to ever finish it.
