The movie was a lousy cash-grab. The animation was terrible. Imo the couple pages it was based off of was 1000x more interesting than the 2 hours of 'meh' they needed to retell it.

If you love Tolkien's works, skip this pos or, at least go into it expecting to bash it to pieces.
