Aside from Andor and the Mandolorian, along with the last clone wars seasons and the new thrawn books, I've hated everything Disney has made. But I thought aside from that weak witch coven having plagueis-like powers, this show is actually pretty good. Brought back some old republic content, brutal fighting and killing, and finally exploring Sith lore. Hopefully they are done with the same old era and make more like this tbh.
I was a hater and just tryin to give a fellow hater a new perspective lol

It's Cortosis, not beskar. Cortosis is not a disney idea either, it was introduced like 25 years ago and was really fleshed out in 2006 with my favorite book ever, the first one of the Darth Bane trilogy. It was very clearly written back then to disrupt a lightsaber's blade and also be borderline indestructible, similar to beskar. It was used in vibroblades to give non force s a chance against jedi and Sith back when there were armies of both in the old republic. Also weaved into body armor and ship hulls for energy resistance. Again in the disney thrawn novels, but It's good to see Disney respecting some of the ideas that came before them and acknowledging them in a TV show.
Look man, I've hated the VAST majority of the disney stuff too thus far, and hated how most of the best content outside of the movies were relegated to "legends". But the Acolyte is different to me. Maybe because they've finally ended the Sith content drought that I'm a little biased, but still pleasantly suprising.
