See All10 Excellent Thriller Books You Can Read In A Day
There are a few books here that I've added to my TBR which i appreciate. However, I have 2 issues with this article.
1st, the writing/ editing. This is a direct copy/paste quote from the article (book 5 section)
"Alex is both undeniably relatable and a little bit repugnant, making her character that the reader is desperate to know more about but is simultaneously easy to protect oneself upon."
What does that word salad even mean?? Did anyone proofread this? Or even give it a cursory read over?? I take more care in my texting than the writer seems to have taken in a work intended for publication.
2nd. This article grabbed my attention because it d a list of fast thrilling reads. Thrillers that can be read in a day. Then it proceeds to list several books that are over 9 hours long on audiobook and even one book that is 17 HOURS on audio (The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle)! To me, that defeats the whole purpose of this ararticle. The presence of such long books makes this list identical to ANY list of good thrillers- these are not the short reads the title of the article promised. To be specific, I'd been looking for more books similar in length to "The Grownup" (1 hour audio) or even "The Old Woman with the Knife" (6 hour audio).
Both the list and the writing of the article could and should be improved, in my opinion.
All Of Us Are Dead's Season 2 Update All But Confirms My Worst Fears About The Netflix K-Drama
When shows take such a long time to return, I almost always lose interest. If I really cared about the characters, I've come up with my own ideas (or read other fan theories) to explain what happened to them after the latest cliffhanger and eventually, I stop caring so much about seeing the show when it returns. In the absence of an official story, I fill in the gaps and let it go.
I'm getting older and there are so many shows to watch. By the time some of these "slow to return" shows come back, I'm into something else.
And knowing that the show sees such long hiatuses as acceptable definitely kills interest. Even if I did watch season 2, do I really want to invest MORE time in a story that I will need to wait another 4 years for to see the 3rd season?
I liked the show, but not enough to follow the story over what might easily be a decade.
