I think him having the first Superman movie "in the middle" and having such a complex plot with so many "lesser known" characters is going to turn off the general public. Gunn has divided the comic fanbase so I don't even think he is going to get more than half of that. My guess is it will be a well acted and directed movie that doesn't get much revenue.

Josh Brolin is a Great actor, I am a long time Green Lantern fan, I read the comics as a kid. I don't see him as a fit for Hal Jordan. He may make a great Green Lantern, but not THAT Green Lantern. Anyway they should be focusing more on Jon Stewart.

The show was consistently the only non-Netflix show in the top 10 streaming charts every week, I also have a Playon DVR and they send an email with the top 10 most recorded shows on Playon and The Acolyte was usually top 3 every week, so it was definitely getting watched by a lot of people. One thing people keep doing is comparing it to the viewership of other "Star Wars" shows (Ahsoka, Mandalorian, Andor, etc) but Disney's decision is going to be based on how well it did vs ALL of their other shows and most indications are that it did pretty well. Note that the only Star Wars show to NOT get another season (so far) is Boba Fett and there is no one asking for a season 2 of that show.

The reviews for The Acolyte are definitely useless, the show had over 25,000 reviews after 3 episodes. That's more than The Mandalorian after 3 seasons, it's more than almost all of the other shows combined now. So it's either the most watched show ever, or the most review bombed ever. Also there has been a sudden surge in 1 star reviews for other shows that have the word Acolyte in their title or description, showing that a lot of these reviews are from bots that are dumping on the wrong shows as well.
