I got a lotta love for Tom, but c'mon...Bond? Really?

That's EXACTLY what we don't want, turning Bond into generic "Action/Spy Movie 26". We already have Reacher (not technically a spy movie anyway) or Bourne, or Mission Impossible.

The movies haven't been campy since the Moore Era, Dalton's movies were some of the grittiest Bond movies ever.

Both Craig and Brosnan started with some of the best Bond movies ever as their first movie and then never achieved that same success again in follow up movies. (GoldenEye and Casino Royale). Yes Craig's sequels grossed more but most will agree Casino Royale was the best film.

I will agree that Die Another Day was an all round low point though.

I love Statham, truly one of my favorite actors...but he is not Bond.

He could be a secret agent, a spy or any other similar role.

But not Bond, he is not Bond

Still love his work though
