It makes more sense since they had mined all the resources from the planets that provided what they needed to make the weapon system operational. If they devoted it all to the first DS they would have no way to power and operate the 2nd one.

I felt the transition wasn't quite as smooth as it could've been. I went from the season 2 finale right into Rogue One. Cassian's opening scene shows they don't already know a weapon is being built, but ge leaves to reality Tivia with the knowledge that some kind of weapon is being built, they just don't know the capability of it.

As someone who despises SpongeBob, I am already teetering towards hating Mark Hamill for demeaning himself this way. But do what you gotta do, i can still appreciate everything else he has done.
