See AllJ.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Totally Changed Where USS Enterprise Was Built Because Of Kirk
"Revisionist" is far too generous. He strip-mines the visions of better creators, with zero respect for the established canon (the man bragged that he had never seen Star Trek before g on to direct it) or even common sense: why would Starfleet assign command of its FLAGSHIP to a midshipman who hadn't even completed his term at the academy? Heck, even freaking CHEKOV was senior to Kirk in Abramstrek.
20 Years After Revenge Of The Sith, I'm Still Convinced The Prequels' Most Controversial Choice Was The Right One
I don't begrudge "Phantom Menace" for introducing Anakin as a child (although I think he should have been at least a LITTLE older.) It's an excellent point that the series needed to show him as innocent in order for his turn to the dark side to have the needed impact.
The problem was in casting Jake Lloyd for the role. They could definitely have found a someone who could read the lines more convincingly. Sure he was little, but a second-grader pretending to be sick for school does a better job of acting.
I Can't Believe The MCU Already Had A Totally Different Way To Introduce Adamantium Perfectly Setup 3 Years Before Captain America: Brave New World's Big Reveal
Nope. The abomination of "Thor: Love and Thunder" is best left as non-canon as possible. Bad enough the MCU had to reference "The Eternals" to bring in adamantium; that meant my wife needed to see it, which meant I had to suffer through watching it again.
At Last, Star Trek Just Called Out My Biggest Issue with Lower Decks
So just to make sure I've got this right: you think it's annoying?
“The Enterprise Is 20 Years Old”: Why Star Trek 3 Was Wrong About The Age Of Kirk's Starship
True, but with all the maintenance those venerable old birds undergo, there's something of the "George Washington's axe" to them. (The old joke is about the man selling the actual axe that young George used to chop down the cherry tree, absolutely authentic except that over the years it's had two new heads and five new handles.)
Walter Koenig Is Absolutely Right To Criticize Star Trek: TOS’ Final Movie
Quit whining, Koenig. You were in fewer than half of the episodes of a TV show more than half a century ago, and got rich and famous from it. How many third-tier characters from other 1960s shows can say that?
