See All"It Isn't a Competition": Marvel Is Really Tired of X-Men Fans Pitting Two Heroes Against Another
I reading my first X-men comic book in 7th grade..I was blown away..I am now 56, and although i don't follow a lot of comic booka the way i used to, i still check in evey now and then to see how the MCU is evolving..i am surprised to say the least that this sort of thing is going on among fans.. To quote Brevoort, tribalism is exactly what it comes down to. And what's sadly ironic is it completely goes against the whole concept of the X-men and mutants in general. Probably the most interesting thing about mutants is their uniqueness and the idea that the next stage in human evolution would give rise to all sorts of mutations and abilities..To be obsessed with which mutant can defeat another one seems to directly contradict that since the truth is they are all incomparable. What has always made superhero teams interesting is that despite being a motley crew they work excellently as a team.No better example of that exist beyond the X-men.
Wicked Director Defends Movie's Controversial Desaturated Color-Grading: "Wouldn't Feel Real"
I am not sure that his statement is a critique on the ability of modern day viewers to understand how color is being used in the film, but the fact that his particular use has been criticized only goes to prove that a significant number clearly didnt understand how color was being used in the film.
Another thing worth pointing out is that the vast majority of people living in the US at least have seen the 1939 film the Wizard of Oz, which renders the land of Oz in very bright and brilliant colors from the ruby slippers to the yellow brick road with the film's use of technicolor. But at the end of the film, Dorothy awakens and the film returns to Kansas, all that took place prior in Oz we are told was a dream. Wicked is set in the same universe, so to speak, and therefore it's very plausible that some viewers watching Wicked have that basic understanding thanks to the 1939 film that everything taking place in Oz isnt happening and exists only in a dreamscape.I think that is the concern the director.was attempting to address in his use of color.
Evil Season 5's Canceled Plan Further Proves Saving The Show Is A No-Brainer
I only recently started streaming shows in the last year and half, and this is the only show that has really impressed me..It def packs in a whole lot of stuff in very well written, tightly and efficiently plotted episodes. It's funny and scary..Absolutely no reason this should be cancelled.it's brilliant.
