I too am confused by the reporter saying that Mandy was once married to the guy from work. I have not heard that at all. I don't think it is bad for her to want a career. The bad thing is covering up the previous relationship all this time. But maybe she did know that Georgie would react the way he did and not want her to work at that station.

I will say this about the show. In BBT, Sheldon was confronted by Georgie about his absence when their father died. Georgie basically said that Mary fell completely apart afterwards. That doesn't seem to be the case so far on this show.
