I think you have a point and part of the key tension is that many people read romantasy for escape and the implications are really hard emotionally. Feyre overcoming her trauma was a heavy plotline and the idea that she's been tricked into another abusive relationship is so hard to bear 😭 I've definitely been concerned about it but felt I was projecting my own experiences, to be open. Thank you for this perspective. Selfishly I hope you're wrong, but if you're right, that would be representation I actually haven't seen much in literature.

I'm an Azriel girlie personally, I just didn't want to go too hard on SJM when we didn't spend much time in Feyre or Rhys' heads in the last book. In of storytelling I simply don't think she will go in that direction, but that doesn't mean the books or Rhys' character are beyond reproach by any means.
