Jensen Ackles isn't mentioned in the article, but all the pics in the slideshow have him in it as his twin characters Ben and Alec McDowell and two of them don't even have Jessica Alba/Max Guevara in them (#1, 2, 3 and 5 are Alec, #4 is Ben). They were probably mined from social media; most Dark Angel pics on Tumblr are Jensen pics.

I was going to say this wasn't completely true because Qi'ra appeared in an episode of Star Wars: Forces of Destiny ("Triplecross"), but I checked IMDB and apparently she was voiced by Olivia Hack instead of Emilia Clarke in that episode. At least it was Emilia's image used as the basis for her animated appearance.

Even if it was Eric's original intention that Ben wasn't Dean's son, other showrunners could do that they wished with it.

Having a realistic amount of illegitimate children from Dean's one-night stands must be one of the real life consequences Chuck protected them from... 🙄

Yes, it does: the brothers could have just driven off together at the end with the implication they're still out there working various cases. Then the finale's title, "Carry On", would have been accurate. That's how it should have ended, instead of the finale's maniacal need to cut off loose ends and make any continuation impossible by killing Dean and aging Sam to death.

The Winchesters was a great show which I honestly enjoyed more than the later seasons of the parent show, and it's a pity that so many people decided they didn't like the premise and didn't check it out. It had a Scooby Gang atmosphere more reminiscent of Buffy. I don't think the people who didn't check it out but want a Supernatural reboot/continuation quite fathomed that the cancellation of The Winchesters gives The Powers That Be the false idea that it failed because there's not enough enthusiasm for Supernatural, thus making it less likely they will greenlight a Supernatural reboot/continuation.

In Seasons 1 and 2, the show had moments that were actually scary or disturbing and in later seasons, horror wasn't really a factor, the show just happened to be taking place on a horror movie genre backdrop.

It far from crash-and-burned. The CW's internal shakeup led to all the old shows being cancelled. Superman & Lois, like Walker, was one of the few airing during the 2022-2023 season whose ratings were good enough to get an abbreviated final season to finish it instead of just being cut off.

If they want him or his family to appear again, they can still easily set that appearance between scenes of this epilogue. It covered many years during which they were explicitly having adventures.

Unlike the Supernatural finale, where Dean died not longer after the events of the previous episode, so it wouldn't be possible to have him and Sam appear together as hunters in a spinoff, which was a bad choice.

Superman & Lois was cut short because of internal shakeups at The CW, which resulted in a move away from their previous scripted series. Hence Walker ending as well, and The Winchesters, Gotham Knights and Walker: Independence being prematurely cancelled. Superman & Lois was only just highly rated enough to receive a final season, even then the episode count was reduced and several of the main cast were bumped down to recurring.

This trend only exists if you only count thrones in Westeros, because Daenerys has already been the official throne-sitting Queen of Meereen since A Storm of Swords.

Anyway, Daenerys burning King's Landing is either going to happen very differently in the books or not at all. , there are other good candidates to burn King's Landing who don't exist on the show, like Young Griff and Old Griff. And Tyion knows more about the wildfire under the city in the books than he does in the show.

It's literally impossible for the books to play out the same way as the show because of the sheer amount of characters who either exist in one and not the other or are in completely different geographical locations.

@Andrew How about you explain how Captain Marvel's success was "accidental"? And why should focusing on a female lead be considered excluding the male audience like you're implying? I'm AMAB and never had any trouble empathizing with female leads.
