I hope the open ended contract doesn’t prevent him from doing other work. He was very good in Agatha. I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Agatha finding Tommy together.

I was at a small Melbourne convention where he was guest of honour. That was before anyone had heard of him except SF fans. I don’t think he would dream of going to a con at a small motel now! At the time, he was best known for his role in producing Beauty And The Beast. I had read some of his earlier work, my favourite being a stand alone novel called Fevre Dream, which I wish had been made into a film instead of Game Of Thrones. I did read the first three SOIAF novels, but for me, it was turning into a soap opera with dragons. He had promised to finish WoW for the World Science Fiction Convention, ConZealand. That was in 2020 and if it had been in person instead of virtual - due to COVID - he would have had to face his fans and explain. Or at least have a bit more written than he had at the time!

I am not a fan any more, but I think that it might be a good idea to hand his notes to another writer. It will take the pressure off him and make the fans happy. It’s not as if he hasn’t been writing, just not what fans want to read.

I can think of one Aussie writer who wrote two volumes of a trilogy and then stopped, and has been writing lots of other stuff, but not that third book. She said she was 400 pages into it, about 16 years ago. Sound familiar?

I was lucky enough to see Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, which told the viewers all these things. Scorpius Malfoy, a sweet boy, became the best friend of Albus Potter. The two boys have a number of adventures together. Harry and Draco sort out their anger with each other and work together to save their sons.

I read one of the Young Avengers comics in which one of the was Young Loki. It would be nice if he was added to the team, if it actually happens. The actor from the Loki series is still pretty young.

I loved that episode, but I wish the weeping Angels hadn’t come back. They made the episode special, but once I realised what they do, bringing them back made me sigh, “Not AGAIN.” They aren’t the Daleks, they don’t have personality…

No, I think it’s doing well. I have been a fan since my childhood. My first Doctor was William Hartnell. I will be very angry if they scrap it now. I have been angry since they made the arrangement with Disney+ - a lot of people who can’t afford to subscribe to that streamer can no longer see it at all. And I have been wondering whether Disney+ will help scrap it if they think it isn’t making them money. And before anyone says, “But we pay the BBC,” many of us would pay gladly - but we have to pay Disney to see it.

If he is this happy about it, I’m going to assume he will be doing more than just appear for 30 seconds. In fact, maybe there will be a chance to get him out of that tree without destroying the multiverse.

Not keen to see The Horse And His Boy. It does show countries in the Middle East in a poor light and there would be a lot of divisive reactions. Besides, the Pevensies are adults in this one - who would play them convincingly?

I wouldn’t mind seeing The Magician’s Nephew. Nobody seems to have done it before. Besides, if they are going to do The Last Battle, it features the first children ever to visit Narnia, as adults, and that doesn’t make sense without knowing that.

I’ve heard of all these books and read most of them. I’m rather fond of the Tanith Lee one, which includes a story about how demons created cats to get humans to love snakes as they did! Grendel became an Aussie made animated feature with Peter Ustinov in the title role.

I agree, Turnabout Intruder was not very good, and sexist. Spock Amok was fun. Each of them has to play the role of the other till they can sort it out. And we get to find out what T’Pring does for a living!

Dwarf women are SUPPOSED to be bearded, though in the first Hobbit movie one is seen looking like a human woman. Tolkien said so. It was sent up by Terry Pratchett, whose dwarves spend a lot of time trying to work out whether their courted ones are male or female. The City Watch forensic scientist is a Dwarf woman who is not impressing her fellow Dwarves because she likes to show she is female. So Cate could have gotten away with it.

I’ve seen about five of these, heard of the rest. I think Ladyhawke is a classic and my favourite of those on this list. It’s a touching story and the music works very well with it.

Goodness, there are a few Clark fans responding here! 😂 I saw the whole series when it came out. It was a what-if. It might be interesting to ask JMS how he feels about this now.
