I liked that comedy 1st season more. It was different and a less self serious take. People seem to imagine that the only real trek is The Original Series that they probably never saw and The Next Generation.

Strange New Worlds which seems to be held up as "True trek" is nothing really like the TOS apart from looking similar and is really quite different from TNG. The irony is it's closer to a tweaked Discovery than any other show. 🤣
