Actually, Dean Koontz did finish the 3rd book, but the publisher that holds the rights to the Fear Nothing/Seize the Night won’t allow him to release it. His is a different scenario. If GRRM ever stated that he will not finish the series, the publishers would have cause to sue him. Smart to not say he won’t finish, which I honestly do not think he will.
