Monster Hunter Wilds' New Feature Is Nerfing Its Best Weapons
Okay, first off, the Insect Glaive aerial breakdance was not even close to the most damaging move or combo. Insect Glaive thrives on being a hit-and-run weapon with innately long evades. The pole-vault was a way to get consistent mounts- which now is not needed due to the new Seikret letting ANY weapon mount super easily.

On fighting Rey Dau, it went to sleep in its Levin cave with 4 wounds on its right side, letting me deal a burst of around 700-800 damage, basically removing the entire threat of him being in his domain because I softened him up prior. Sure, I didn't deal massive consistent damage all the time, but the payoff was not being one-shot by more than half of its moveset.
Also. Have you ever played a single Monster Hunter game, or did you just look at a day one Insect Glaive tutorial for world? This article is about as organised and helpful as IGN. That's not a compliment.
